Lowe's Home Improvement. Watch App
Outputs: Wireframe, UX/UI, Content, User Stories, Communications, Analytics, App Store Optimization
Timing: 2 months
Vision.
Design, develop and deploy a new digital interface to delight consumers by associating the brand with the convenience of the Apple Watch. Features must leverage the current capabilities offered in the host app.

Discover.
I began by studying guidelines for the interface and analyzed data generated by our previously released Android Wear app to gain insights in user behavior and usage patterns. I then performed a competitive analysis of other retailers who have apps designed for the Apple Watch. Customer care reports were consulted frequently for insights into pain points and expectations of our users.

Design.
A few of my early ideas were captured on the iPad. These were later used as the basis for my IT partners to build a POC. From there I continued sketching out possible screen layouts with annotations to make rapid prototypes and perform user experience testing. The fidelity of the documentation is refined with each iteration. Frequent meetings are held between the stake holders, developers, business analysts, product managers and quality assurance team members to ensure everyone is in alignment.

Test/Iterate.
Due to the short timeline for this project, paper prototyping and ADHOC testing was performed to ensure the general flow and information satisfied the need of the users. In-store field testing was conducted which prompted the need to perform error handling differently and improved the overall experience. I worked closely with QA validating defects and prioritizing which ones have the most impact. I conducted user acceptance testing validating that each screen followed brand guidelines and designs.
