Vision.
Redesign and refactor the existing consumer iOS & Android mobile apps. Modernize the user experience and reduce the amount of legacy code for a more stable app.

Discover.
I started by gathering information about the current customer experience and technical challenges the engineers were facing while working with the current app architecture. I worked closely with cross functional teams to gather and synthesize this data. From the data gathered I was able to produce a roadmap and high-level backlog so we could estimate the effort with the technical teams.

Design.
I worked closely with the UX & design team providing requirements and approvals for each iteration while ensuring that there was a seamless flow of communication between the design and engineering teams. This phase was critical to get the details right so that I could further refine the roadmap reducing the cone of uncertainty for all parties involved.

Test/Iterate.
A prototype was made and tested with users to ensure the new direction for the user experience was sound. With a roadmap and a backlog, sprints began balancing multiple value streams to ensure value continued to be delivered to customers while the new version of the apps were created. My task was to keep each team aligned to the vision while following roadmap priorities and continually negotiate scope.
